A winterish front moved in overnight finally chilling the air. A steady breeze whisks coolness around along with drops of steadily falling rain.

The significance?

The first real sign of a season change.

Summer was harsh. The relentless heat melting away any hope or resolve until I became nothing more than a puddle. Unable to move. Ready to be soaked up by the ground.

A heavy gust shakes the trees as I look out.

Something within me shivers.

Will this season prove any different than the last?

I don’t know.

But without a choice, I steel myself for I am about to find out.
